    Good basic belt

So far this belt seems well made and looks good and is fairly priced.
Oddly, from my experience with this type of belt the mechanism works a little bit differently in that you lift up the metal buckle part whereas H&M ones I had you sort of slid a bit either side of the buckle. The advantage of the H&M system is easier and quicker to open, the disadvantage (and hence why I chucked them eventually) was that they didn't stay secured so the belts always worked their way loose. This belt feels like it will stay where you put it but it can be quite tricky to release it. As it is 'technically' a hunting belt I wouldn't want to be caught short on a cold winter's morning with gloved hands or frozen fingers trying to undo the belt in a hurry!
For my everyday use though it will hopefully not be an issue and it may get easier with use/wear. Just so long as it doesn't become insecure like the H&M ones did.
One thing to note is that this 'one size fits all' belt is incredibly long. When Decathlon say 'all' they mean it. For someone like me with a 32" waist, it means that you end up with an enormous amount of belt left over to feed through your jeans' loops or tuck somewhere. This does, again, like the opening mechanism slow you down when it comes to the time to take the belt off. I think I will have to cut some material off and shorten it but I don't want to ruin it or lose the metal end as that's what enable sit to be fed through belt loops more easily plus looks nice/finished. Speaking of which the end metal piece is only just small enough to go through the loops in my Red Herring jeans. Overall this is a good value belt and it looks very good. Just remember that the belt is very long and the release mechanism - shall we say 'secure' and you'll be alright. I will try and remember to update my review after longterm use.
